When it comes to what to wear to an escape room, there isn’t a uniform required to participate.

When visiting an escape room, we recommend wearing:

ü  Breathable clothing, which feels comfortable on the skin. It can get hot and stuffy inside an escape room, especially with all the excitement among your team!

ü  Sensible, sturdy footwear, which provides support and comfort as you walk around and explore the escape room.

You should avoid wearing:

  • High heels.
  • Open-toed footwear.
  • Restrictive, tight clothing, which may cut off your circulation.
  • Long, flowing clothing, which can get caught on something if you need to bend or crouch in the escape room.
  • Jewellery that can get caught on something or fall off easily.

Can I wear fancy dress to an escape room?

We know people often wear fancy dress costumes on a hen night or stag do- whether it’s a tiara, fake veil, or an inflatable banana costume!

If you come to an escape room wearing a wacky costume, then the staff may ask you to remove the costume before you play the game. So, make sure you are decent underneath!

Can I bring a bag to an escape room?

In most cases, you are normally allowed to bring a bag to the premises, but you cannot take it with you to the game room. In this situation, a locker may be provided for you, so you can store your possessions safely while you are playing the game.

The escape room staff, however, are not responsible for your personal property. We would recommend leaving any valuables at home, so you don’t have to worry about them getting lost or stolen.

How hard are escape rooms?

Escape rooms are meant to be challenging! If they were super-easy, you and your team would be able to solve all the puzzles quickly, which would make the experience boring for you.

Most escape rooms have an escape rate of 30 to 35%, as they are designed to test your brain power to the max.

It requires logic, and intellectual skills to crack the codes and solve all the riddles.
